Vanuit deze behoefte leren kinderen al doende hun moedertaal en zo kunnen ze nu ook een nieuwe taal leren. Een taaldenkgesprek biedt hiervoor allerlei kansen: leerkracht en leerlingen denken en praten samen, de leerkracht levert rijk taalaanbod \u00e9n de leerlingen worden uitgedaagd om zelf taal te produceren. We weten uit onderzoek dat precies dit nodig is om een (tweede) taal te leren. Iedere leerling doet mee met de taalmiddelen die hij op dat moment heeft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communicatie centraal<br \/>\n<\/strong>In een taaldenkgesprek gaat het niet om een goed of fout antwoord. Het gaat zelfs niet om correcte taal of taalfouten. Centraal staat wat de leerlingen bedoelen. Niet of ze het al in correct Nederlands kunnen zeggen. Door het uitdagende gespreksonderwerp zijn leerlingen zo gemotiveerd dat ze hun uiterste best doen om hun bedoelingen te verwoorden. De leerkracht helpt om die bedoeling zo duidelijk mogelijk te verwoorden.
